Ruth Cox

My artistic practice centres on my response to the beauty of the natural world, finding inspiration in the landscapes of Derbyshire, where I live, in its ever-shifting light and transient skies. My oil paintings are an attempt to explore emotion and meaning through colour, light and composition, to find the mystery that glimmers within the familiar everyday of living.
